Procedure

The respective starting substance is prepared from 90 g of 1-ethyl-4-piperidone with dimethylamine gas introduced into the reaction mixture on three subsequent days for a total 20 hours introduction time as described in Example 1, 1-ethyl-4-dimethylamino-1,2,5,6-tetrahydropyridine is obtained with a yield of 73.5%, bp.: 90°-93° C./1.47 kPa; nD20 =1.4931.
