Procedure
A solution of 0.25 g of 3-amino-2-(4-chlorophenyl)propylphosphonous acid in 10 ml of 0.1M sodium hydroxide solution is stirred at room temperature for a period of 1 hour, and then concentrated under reduced pressure to give sodium 3-amino-2-(4-chlorophenyl)propylphosphinate as a hygroscopic solid, 31P=+26.0 ppm (D2O).
Workup
- concentrationconcentrated under reduced pressure
