Reaction Steps
To 100 mg of 7,12-diethyl-3,8,13,17-tetramethyl-2,18-bis(3-bromopropyl)-21H,23H-porphin, 2 ml of pyridine is added, followed by refluxing for 5 hours. The precipitated crystals are recovered by filtration, washed with 3 ml of pyridine and dried, whereby 100 mg (yield 81.1%) of dark reddish brown desired compound is obtained.
