Reaction Steps
(S,E)-N-(1-(4-bromophenyl)ethylidene)-2-methylpropane-2-sulfinamide (0.5 g, 1.66 mmol) was dissolved in THF/H2O=50:1 (10 mL) and cooled to −50° C. Then NaBH4 (0.19 g, 4.97 mmol) was added. The resulting mixture was warmed to RT over 3 h and then concentrated. The residue was purified by column chromatography to afford the titled compound.
