Procedure
di-tert-Butyl 1-(1-benzyl-1H-pyrazolo[4,3-b]pyridin-5-yl)hydrazine-1,2-dicarboxylate (0.030 g, 0.068 mmol, from Step 2) in AcOH (3 mL) was heated in the microwave to 180° C. for 5 minutes. The AcOH was removed in vacuo, the residue was reconstituted in MeOH, and purified via preparative HPLC-MS (Waters XBridge C18, eluting with a gradient of MeCN/H2O containing 0.15% NH4OH) to afford product (8 mg, 40%).
