Dess-Martin periodinane reagent (437 mg, 1.008 mmol, 1.5 eq) was added at 0° C. to a stirred solution of (1-(5-(2-fluorophenyl)pyrimidin-2-yl)-3-(1-hydroxyethyl)-1H-indol-6-yl)(morpholino)methanone (synthesis example 28, 300 mg, 0.672 mmol, 1.0 eq) in dichloromethane (10 mL). Stirring was continued for 2 h at room temperature and the reaction mixture was then filtered through a bed of celite. The celite was washed with dichloromethane (10 mL) and the filtrate was dried over anhydrous sodium sulfate and evaporated in vacuo. White solid. Yield: 250 mg (72% of theory).
