The title compound was prepared as described in Example 6B Step 2 using 1-(5-tert-butylisoxazol-3-yl)-3-{3-[6-methoxy-7-(2-methoxyethoxy)quinazolin-4-yloxy]phenyl}urea (5.545 g, 10.9 mmol) and 1.0 M HCl/Et2O solution (1.3 eq.) in CH2Cl2 (100 mL) and MeOH (10 mL), to afford 1-(5-tert-butylisoxazol-3-yl)-3-{3-[6-methoxy-7-(2-methoxyethoxy)quinazolin-4-yloxy]phenyl}urea hydrochloride as a solid (5.723 g, 96.3%). 1H NMR (300 MHz, DMSO-d6) δ 9.58 (s, 1H), 9.68 (s, 1H), 9.28 (s, 1H), 8.65 (s, 1H), 7.60 (m, 2H), 7.41 (m, 2H), 7.27 (d, 1H), 6.98 (d, 1H), 6.48 (s, 1H), 4.35 (t, 2H), 4.00 (s, 3H), 3.78 (t, 2H), 3.35 (s, 3H), 1.27 (s, 9H); LC-MS (ESI) m/z 508 (M+H)+.
