The title compound was made in a similar way as that of the intermediate C6, using 3-(1-hydroxyethyl)-4-phenyl-1H-isochromen-1-one (Intermediate B1, 2.6 g, 9.76 mmol), 1M PBr3 in DCM (17.5 ml, 17.5 mmol) (30 ml) at RT. The crude was purified with Biotage Silica SNAP 100 g with a gradient of hexane and AcOEt to give the title compound (1.64 g, 51%).
