A solution of 0.54 g (2 mol) of 5-amino-3-methylthio-4-phenylsulphonyl-pyrazole and 0.54 g (3.4 mmol) of ethyl 1-ethoxy-ethylidene-carbamate in acetic acid was stirred at 100° C. for 3 hrs. After cooling to RT the precipitate was filtered off, washed off with a copious amount of Et2O and dried in a high vacuum at 45° C. There was obtained 0.41 g (61%) of 8-benzenesulphonyl-2-methyl-7-methylsulphanyl-3H-pyrazolo[1,5-a][1,3,5]-triazin-4-one white crystals, m.p.>300° C.
