A mixture of dichloro(1,2-diaminocyclohexane)platinum(II) (380 mg) and 310 mg Ag2CrO4 was suspended in water and stirred for 48 hours in the dark at room temperature. After 48 hours, the solution was filtered and evaporated to dryness to give the title product as a light greenish-yellow solid. The product is soluble in water but only slightly soluble in alcohol. The product was washed with alcohol and dried in vacuo to give a final yield of 85 mg. TLC indicates one band at Rf =0.74 in the n-butanol:acetic acid:water (12:3:5) system. The IR was consistent for the indicated structure.
