A solution of 75 mg (0.10 mmol) of tert-butyl 4-(1-{(R)-3-(6-amino-5-methyl-pyridin-3-yl)-2-[4-(2-oxo-1,2,4,5-tetrahydro-1,3-benzodiazepin-3-yl)-piperidine-1-carbonyloxy]-propionyl}-piperidin-4-yl)-piperazine-1-carboxylate (Example 114) in 5 mL 2 M HCl was stirred for 20 h at RT. After lyophilisation of the reaction mixture the residue was dissolved in 1 mL DMF, made alkaline with 0.6 mL saturated K2CO3 solution and purified by HPLC. The fractions containing the product were combined and again lyophilised.
