3-Carboxymethyl-1-(5-fluoro-benzo[b]thiophen-3-ylmethyl)-1H-indole-2-carboxylic acid (from Example 59) was converted to 9-(5-fluoro-benzo[b]thiophen-3-ylmethyl)-4,9-dihydro-pyrano[3,4-b]indole-1,3-dione as described in Example 68.1. which was converted according to Example 68.2. but using dimethyl amine to give 3-dimethylcarbamoylmethyl-1-(5-fluoro-benzo[b]thiophen-3-ylmethyl)-1H-indole-2-carboxylic acid as a white solid. MS: 409.4 ([M−H]−).
