To a solution of 8-nitro-2-(4-phenoxyphenyl)pyrazolo[1,5-a]quinazoline-3-carboxamide (240 mg, 0.57 mmol) in 10 mL of EtOH and 10 mL of DCM was added NaBH4 (86 mg, 2.26 mmol) at RT. After stirring at RT for 20 min, 10 mL of water was added. The mixture was concentrated. 5 mL of water was added and filtered. The cake was washed with tert-Butyl methyl ether (30 mL) and dried to afford 200 mg (83%) of 8-nitro-2-(4-phenoxyphenyl)-4,5-dihydropyrazolo[1,5-a]quinazoline-3-carboxamide as a yellow solid. MS (ESI) m/e [M+1]+ 427.9.
