A solution of 4-[3-(4-methyl-piperidin-1-yl)-4-nitro-phenyl]-3,6-dihydro-2H-pyridine-1-carboxylic acid tert-butyl ester (0.090 g, 0.22 mmol) (as prepared in Example 33, step (d)) in methanol (2 mL) was hydrogenated over 10% Pd/C at 12 psi for 2 h. The solution was filtered and concentrated to give 0.085 g (100%) of the title compound as an oil. Mass spectrum (ESI, m/z): Calcd. for C22H35N3O2, 374.3 (M+H), found 374.1.
