Reaction Steps
To 15 ml of ice-cooled acetic acid solution of 25% hydrobromic acid was added 1.14 g of compound (37) and the reaction was maintained for 3 hours at room temperature. The reaction mixture thus obtained was added to 150 ml of desiccated ether, the precipitates thus formed were quickly collected by filtration and dried overnight in the desiccator at reduced pressure to provide 1.53 g of L-histidyl-N-cyclohexyl-L-prolinamide.2-hydrobromide.
