The title compound was prepared according to the procedure described in step 2 of Example 1 from 4-chloro-2-[(ethoxycarbonyl)amino]benzonitrile (Example 1, step 1) and 2-bromoacetylcyclohexane (Lotfield, Schaad, J. Am. Chem. Soc., 1954, 76, 35).
