Procedure

(S)-1-(2-Amino-3-phenyl-propionyl)-pyrrolidin-3-one hydrochloride (0.6 mmol) and 5-chloro-1H-indole-2-carboxylic acid (0.6 mmol) were coupled according to Procedure A (0-25° C. reaction temperature, washed with acid first, then base) and the product purified by chromatography on silica gel eluted with 40 and 50% ethyl acetate in hexanes, followed by trituration of the resulting foam with ether. Yield 112 mg, 45%; HPLC (60/40) 5.13 minutes (>99%); PBMS 410/412 (MH+, 100%);
