Reaction Steps

To a solution of product from Step 4 (150 mg, 0.56 mmol) in THF (4 mL) at room temperature there was added 85% trimethyl silyl isocyanate (TMSNCO, 162 mg, 1.2 mmol) and the mixture was stirred for 30 minutes. H2O (5 mL) was added, and after stirring for a further 10 minutes the THF was evaporated, and the residue extracted with Et2O, the extracts washed with H2O, dried over MgSO4 and evaporated to afford the title compound as a thick oil.
