3-Benzylsulfanyl-6-{4-[3-((R)-2-methyl-pyrrolidin-1-yl)-propoxy]-phenyl}-pyridazine (0.08 g, 0.19 mmol) was dissolved in CH3CO2H (3 mL) and a 50% solution of H2O2 in H2O (0.026 mL, 0.16 mmol) was introduced. The reaction mixture was stirred and monitored by LC-MS, and after 5 h was evaporated to a residue, which was treated with H2O (20 mL) and CH2Cl2 (30 mL). The organic layer was washed with saturated NaHCO3 solution (20 mL), saturated brine (10 mL) and dried (MgSO4) before being evaporated to a white solid (0.051 g, 64%), m.p. 145° C.
