To a slurry of Pd/C (10 mg) in 10 mL of EtOH/EtOAc (1:1) is added a solution of 5-[2-benzyloxy-4-(1-triisopropylsilanyl-1H-pyrrol-3-yl)-phenyl]-1,1-dioxo-1,2,5-thiadiazolidin-3-one in EtOH. The mixture is stirred under an atmosphere of H2 for 18 h then the catalyst is removed by filtration through a pad of Celite. The filtrate is concentrated under reduced pressure to afford the title compound which is used directly in the next step: (M−1)−=448.
