A 42 g. portion of 4-methylthiosemicarbazide was reacted with 200 ml. of acetone, and then with 32 g. of pyridine and 83.6 g. of 3-trifluoromethylbenzoyl chloride. The mixture was worked-up as described in Example 1 to obtain 77.5 g. of the desired product, m.p. 111°-115°, after recrystallization from nitromethane.
