10.1 g (0.02 mole) of 4-(4-chloro-3-dimethylsulfamoylphenyl)-3-methyl-2-phenyliminothiazolidin-4-ol hydrobromide in 80 ml of glacial acetic acid are heated to the boil over a period of 20 minutes. After cooling, crystallization is brought to completion by adding about 150 ml of diisopropyl ether, the mixture is stirred for a further one hour at room temperature and the product is filtered off. Colorless crystals; melting point 258°-260° C. (with decomposition).
