100 mg. of the phenol of Example 1 was combined with 2 ml. of pyridine and 1 ml. of acetic anhydride for one hour. The reaction mixture was extracted with ether and the ether extract washed sequentially with water, 1NHCl, water and saturated salt solution then dried over sodium sulfate. Upon evaporation 0.11 grams of the acetate was recovered.
