A solution of the quaternary nitrosourea prepared in Example 126 (0.426 g, 1 mmol) and 1-benzyl-1,2-dihydroisonicotinamide (0.21 g, 1 mmol) in 25 mL of anhydrous methanol was stirred at 0° C. for 4 hours under nitrogen. The solvent was evaporated in vacuo at about 30° C. and the residue was suspended in chloroform, filtered and flash chromatographed on a short column of neutral alumina. The title compound was obtained in 55% yield after elution with chloroform and was assigned the structure ##STR156## consistent with UV analysis.
