Reaction Steps
A solution of the compound of Example 119 (0.45 g, 0.002 mole) and p-toluenesulfonic acid (4-5 crystals) in toluene (20 mL) was heated at reflux with azeotropic removal of water. After 18 hours, the cooled solution was washed with saturated aqueous sodium bicarbonate and evaporated to provide the title compound (0.4g, 100%) as an oil; mass spectrum: m/z 240.
