Procedure

R. Cullen in an article "Perfluoroalkyl Arsenicals, Part II The Preparation and Properties of Aryl Perfluoroalkyl Arsenicals", reported in Canadian Journal of Chemistry, Volume 38, 1960, pg. 445-451, describes the reaction of iododiphenylarsine with trifluoroiodomethane to produce diphenyltrifluoromethylarsine. Thermal decomposition of diphenyltrifluoromethylarsine resulted in undisclosed black solid deposit.
