Reaction Steps
In the same manner as in Example 3, 3.1 g of 2-anilino-4-chloro-6-methylpyrimidine, 1.9 g of isopropyl alcohol and 0.7 g of NaH were added to 50 ml of THF and allowed to react at room temperature for 4 hours to obtain 2.2 g of 2-anilino-4-methyl-6-isopropoxypyrimidine (yield 65%). n20D 1.5931.
