4.0 g of (5-amino-2-butyl-benzofur-3-yl)-[4-(2-cyanoethoxy)phenyl]methanon (VI) is dissolved in 40 ml of dichloromethane. The mixture is warmed to 30-35° C. and 1.05 g of pyridine is added at this tempereature in 5 minutes. At this temperature 1.5 g of methane sulfonyl chloride is added in 5 minutes and the mixture is stirred at 30-35° C. for 3 hours: The mixture is cooled to 20° C. and washed with 2×15 ml of water, 2×15 ml of NaHCO3 of 5% and 1×15 ml of water. The phases are separated and the dichloromethane is evaporated.
