Procedure

(1-Isopropyl-1H-pyrazol-3-yl)methanol was dissolved into dichloromethane and SOCl2 (2 equivalents) was added. The resulting mixture was allowed to stir overnight, then concentrated under vacuum to yield the desired compound (quantitative yield).
