A suspension of 3-methyl-1-((6-methylpyridin-2-yl)methyl)-4-nitro-1H-indazole (54 mg, 0.19 mmol) in absolute EtOH (1.5 mL) was treated at ambient temperature with dihydroxypalladium (27 mg, 0.019 mmol). The mixture was stirred at ambient temperature under a hydrogen atmosphere for 16 hours, then filtered through a Celite® pad and concentrated to afford 36 mg of the desired product as a clear yellow oil.
