A mixture of tert-butyl 4-(2-(3-chloropyrazin-2-yl)-2-methylpropanamido)piperidine-1-carboxylate (2.8 g, 7.31 mmol) and cesium carbonate (7.15 g, 21.94 mmol) in DMSO (25 mL) was stirred at RT overnight. H2O was added, extracted with EtOAc (3×). The extracts were dried over MgSO4, concentrated, purified by ISCO (30% EtOAc/Hexanes) to give the title compound (2.15 g, 85%). MS (M+1): 347.1
