Reaction Steps

A mixture of N-(1-(benzo[d]thiazol-2-yl)piperidin-4-yl)-3-nitropyridin-2-amine (270 mg, 0.76 mmol) and palladium on activated carbon (50% by wt, 0.15 g) in methanol (10 mL) was stirred under hydrogen at 30 psi for 2 hours. The mixture was filtered through a pad of CELITE™ and the filtrate was concentrated to give N2-(1-(benzo[d]thiazol-2-yl)piperidin-4-yl)pyridine-2,3-diamine (200 mg, 0.61 mmol, 81.3% yield) which was used in the next step without further purification.
