A mixture of tert-Butyl 3-(((2R,3S)-3-(((benzyloxy)carbonyl)amino)-4-oxoazetidin-2-yl)methyl)-2-oxo-2,3-dihydro-1H-imidazole-1-carboxylate (490 mg, 1.18 mmol) and Palladium on carbon (10% wt, 140 mg) in MeOH (60 mL) was evacuated and backfilled with H2 (3×), bringing the final pressure up to 30 psi. After 2 h of stirring, the mixture was filtered through celite and concentrated in vacuo. The crude residue was purified via silica gel chromatography (MeOH-DCM, 6%), affording the title compound (50 mg, 25%).
