At RT, 182 μl (2.35 mmol) of methanesulphonyl chloride were added to a solution of 300 mg (about 93% pure, 1.18 mmol) of the compound of Example 25A in 7.2 ml of pyridine, and the mixture was stirred for 1 h. The pyridine was removed on a rotary evaporator and the residue was purified by preparative HPLC [Method 20]. This gave 221 mg (65% of theory) of the title compound.
