When the product of Step C is substituted for 5-(3,4-diethoxyphenyl)-3-(1H-indol-4-yl)-1,2,4-oxadiazole in Example 34, Step C, the identical process afforded the title compound in 99% yield., as a colourless foam. 1H-NMR (CDCl3) 3.49 (tr, 2H, J=8.7 Hz); 3.66 (tr, 2H, J=8.7 Hz); 4.09 (broad s, 1H); 6.76 (d, 1H, J=7.6 Hz); 7.16 (tr, 1H, J=7.2 Hz); 7.34 (d, 1H, J=7.6 Hz); 7.4-7.63 (m, 5H); 7.77 (d, 1H, J=7.6 Hz); 8.24 (d, 1H, J=8.5 Hz).
