Prepared as in Example 111c from 2,6 dinitrobenzonitrile and ((3aR,4R,6R,6aR)-6-methoxy-2,2-dimethyltetrahydrofuro[3,4-d][1,3]dioxol-4-yl)methanol in 70% yield as white solid. 1H NMR (400 MHz, CDCl3) δ 1.33 (s, 3H), 1.49 (s, 3H), 3.32 (s, 3H), 4.23 (d, J=2.0 Hz, 1H), 4.24 (s, 1H), 4.60 (br t, J=6.0 Hz, 1H), 4.67 (d, J=6.0 Hz, 1H), 4.86 (br d, J=6.0 Hz, 1H), 5.01 (s, 1H), 7.35 (d, J=8.4 Hz, 1H), 7.72 (t, J=8.4 Hz, 1H), 7.87 (dd, J=0.8, 8.4 Hz, 1H).
