Procedure
6-(4-Bromo-pyridin-3-yl)-3,4-dihydro-2H-[1,8]naphthyridine-1-carboxylic acid amide (50 mg, 0.15 mmol), 4-fluorophenylboronic acid (42 mg, 0.30 mmol) and 2.0 M Na2CO3 aqueous solution (0.15 mL, 0.30 mmol) are dissolved in 1.0 mL of 1,4-dioxane. The Argon gas is bubbled through the solution for 5 min. Then PdCl2dppf (7.7 mg, 0.011 mmol) is added. The mixture is heated at 100° C. for 3.5 hrs and then it is cooled down to room temperature. 30 mL of DCM and 20 mL of water are added and the organic layer is separated. The aqueous layer is extracted with DCM (2×20 mL) and all the organic layers are combined, dried and concentrated to give crude product. Purification by flash column chromatography affords 39 mg of the titled compound.
