A mixture of 2-aminomethyl-3,5,7,8-tetrahydro-pyrano[4,3-d]pyrimidin-4-one (150 mg, 0.83 mmol) and 1-(bromomethyl)-4-fluorobenzene (83 μL 0.66 mmol) was heated via microwave in ethanol (5 mL) at 120° C. for 5 minutes. The reaction mixture was concentrated in vacuo and the residue was purified via flash column chromatography (ethyl acetate:hexane, 20:80 to 100:0 and then methanol: dichloromethane, 1:99 to 30:70) to provide the title compound (160 mg, 67% yield). MS m/z 290.2 (M+1), retention time=1.04 min
