413 mg (0.74 mmol) of tert-butyl (2-{4-[2-amino-3,5-dicyano-6-({[2-(methylcarbamoyl)pyridin-4-yl]methyl}sulfanyl)pyridin-4-yl]phenoxy}ethyl)carbamate (Example 45A) were dissolved in 4.3 ml of dichloromethane. After addition of 4.2 g (6.88 mmol) of trifluoroacetic acid, the mixture was stirred at RT for 2.5 h. The reaction mixture was evaporated. The residue was purified by preparative HPLC (Chromasil, water/acetonitrile+0.1% trifluoroacetic acid).
