The title compound is prepared in 97% yield (467 mg, white solid) from ethyl 3-(bromomethyl)-2-chloroisonicotinate (350 mg, 1.26 mmol) and 1-(3-methyl-4-(2,2,2-trifluoroethoxy)phenyl)ethanamine hydrochloride (373 mg, 1.38 mmol, Amine-69, single enantiomer) in a similar manner to Intermediate-2.
