The title compound is prepared in 84% yield (300 mg, pale brown oil) from ethyl 3-(bromomethyl)-2-chloroisonicotinate (250 mg, 0.90 mmol, Step-1 of Intermediate-1) and (3-chloro-4-(2,2,2-trifluoroethoxy)phenyl)methanamine hydrochloride (250 mg, 0.90 mmol, Amine-54) in a similar manner to Intermediate-2.
