Reaction Steps

The title compound is prepared in 83% yield (560 mg, colorless oil) from ethyl 3-(bromomethyl)-2-chloroisonicotinate (500 mg, 1.8 mmol, Step-1 of Intermediate-1) and tert-butyl 4-(aminomethyl)-2-methylbenzoate (400 mg, 1.8 mmol) in a similar manner to Intermediate-2.
