The title compound is prepared in 11% yield (147 mg, colorless oil) from 5-(2,2-difluoroethoxy)-4-methylpicolinaldehyde (860 mg, 4.27 mmol, Step-3) and (R)-2-methylpropane-2-sulfinamide (777 mg, 6.41 mmol) in a similar manner to Step-6 of Amine-49.
