Into a 10-mL sealed tube, was placed methyl 2-chloro-3-(isopropyl(methyl)amino)quinoxaline-6-carboxylate (290 mg, 0.99 mmol, 1.00 equiv), 2-methoxyphenylboronic acid (453.5 mg, 2.96 mmol, 3.00 equiv), Pd(PPh3)4 (228 mg, 0.20 mmol, 0.20 equiv), K3PO4 (837 mg, 3.97 mmol, 4.00 equiv), 1,4-dioxane (4 mL). The resulting solution was stirred for overnight at 100° C. in an oil bath. The resulting mixture was concentrated under vacuum and applied onto a silica gel column with ethyl acetate/petroleum ether (1:40). This resulted in 100 mg (28%) of methyl 3-(isopropyl(methyl)amino)-2-(2-methoxyphenyl)quinoxaline-6-carboxylate as a yellow solid.
