Into a 10-mL sealed tube, was placed methyl 2-chloro-3-(isopropyl(methyl)amino)quinoxaline-6-carboxylate (200 mg, 0.68 mmol, 1.00 equiv), 4-(trifluoromethoxy)phenylboronic acid (280 mg, 1.36 mmol, 1.99 equiv), Pd(PPh3)4 (157 mg, 0.14 mmol, 0.20 equiv), K3PO4 (577 mg, 2.73 mmol, 4.01 equiv), 1,4-dioxane (4 mL). The resulting solution was stirred for overnight at 100° C. in an oil bath. The resulting mixture was concentrated under vacuum. The residue was purified by silica gel column chromatography with ethyl acetate/petroleum ether (1:40). This resulted in 120 mg (42%) of methyl 3-(isopropyl(methyl)amino)-2-(4-(trifluoromethoxy)phenyl)quinoxaline-6-carboxylate as a yellow solid.
