Reaction Steps
To a stirred solution of 4 (50 mg, 0.15 mmol) in THF (5 mL) was added Et3N (0.031 mL, 0.22 mmol) followed by benzyl chloroformate (1.06 mL, 0.18 mmol) at 0° C. under inert atmosphere. The resulting reaction mixture was allowed to warm to RT and stirred for 12 h. After consumption of the starting material (by TLC), the reaction mixture was diluted with water and extracted with EtOAc. The combined organic extracts were washed with water, dried over anhydrous Na2SO4 and concentrated under reduced pressure. The obtained crude material was purified by silica gel column chromatography [eluent: 35% EtOAc/hexane] to afford the title compound 82 (15 mg, 21.4%) as an off-white solid. 1H NMR (400 MHz, DMSO-d6): δ 10.60 (bs, 1H), 10.00 (bs, 1H), 8.18 (s, 1H), 8.02 (d, J=7.6 Hz, 1H), 7.74 (d, J=7.6 Hz, 1H), 7.51-7.28 (m, 9H), 5.18 (s, 2H), 3.49 (s, 2H).
