5-(octadecanoylamino)-1,10-phenanthroline was prepared according to the procedure used in Example 5 to prepare 4-(4-(octadecanoylamino)butyl)-1,10-phenanthroline, with the exception that 1,10-phenanthrolin-5-amine was used in place of 4-(aminobutyl)-1,10-phenanthroline.
