To a solution of compound 41a (3.5 g, 8.4 mmol) in methanol (30 mL) was added 10% Pd/C (ca. 50% water, 3.5 g). The resulting mixture was hydrogenated at about 2 to 3 atm overnight, and filtered through a pad of diatomaceous earth. The filtrate was concentrated under reduced pressure to obtain compound 41b as a white solid. Mass Spectrum (LCMS, ESI pos.): Calcd. for C21H31N5O4: 418.2 (M+H). found: 418.2.
