4.84 g of 5-(3,4-dimethoxyphenyl)-3-methyl-4-nitro-1H-pyrazole (43) were dissolved in 80 ml of ethanol, and 0.5 g of Pd/C was added to this solution. The solution was shaken under hydrogen for 2 h, then filtered through magnesium sulfate and subjected to rotary evaporation.
