A solution of (E)-2-(3-{4-[(6-{[(2R)-2-(2,2-dimethyl-4H-1,3-benzodioxin-6-yl)-2-hydroxyethyl]amino}hexyl)oxy]butyl}phenyl)-N-methylethenesulfonamide (100 mg) in methanol (15 ml) was administered onto a Bond Elut SCX2 cartridge (10 g), which had been preconditioned in methanol. The cartridge was eluted with methanol (2×25 ml) followed by 15% aq. ammonia-methanol (2×20 ml). Evaporation of the latter fractions gave the title compound (70 mg) LCMS RT=2.59 min, ES+ve 535 (MH)+
